1 Dozen Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs

Soft shell crabs are highly rated amongst gourmands for their sweet, intense flavor. They are crabs which are at a growth stage during which they have shed their outer hard shell in order to grow. Timing is everything – they must be caught within a few hours, before the outer skin hardens once more to form a new, larger shell.

These jumbo crabs are supplied by The Crab Place and each is between 5 and 5.5 inches in size. They are supplied individually wrapped, cleaned and frozen, ready for cooking.
